Mahasiswa UTHM sedang melihat karya mahasiswa Arsitektur ITN Malang

Malang, ITN.AC.ID – Prodi Arsitektur S-1 Institut Teknologi Nasional Malang (ITN Malang) menerima lawatan dari Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM). Rombongan yang terdiri dari 34 mahasiswa dan dua dosen pendamping ini diterima oleh Dekan Fakultas Teknik Sipil dan Perencanaan (FTSP), ITN Malang, Dr. Debby Budi Susanti, ST., MT., dan Kaprodi Arsitektur S-1 ITN Malang, Ir. Gaguk Sukowiyono, MT, Jumat (20/09/2024).

Lawatan kali kedua UTHM ke Prodi Arsitektur ini merupakan rangkaian kegiatan mobility outbound UTHM ke beberapa perguruan tinggi di Kota Malang. Untuk belajar aspek-aspek yang dianggap lebih baik dan berhasil dalam pengelolaan kegiatan pembelajaran. Maka, rombongan UTHM di ITN Malang selain berkenalan dengan dosen dan mahasiswa Arsitektur, mereka juga berdiskusi dan melihat-lihat karya mahasiswa.

“Mereka setiap tahun rutin menyelenggarakan mobility outbound. Di sini (Arsitektur ITN) mereka kami tunjukkan karya-karya mahasiswa mulai semester awal hingga semester akhir. Kami saling bertukar informasi untuk kebaikan dunia pendidikan,” ujar Kaprodi Arsitektur S-1 ITN Malang, Ir. Gaguk Sukowiyono, MT.

Gaguk berharap hasil karya mahasiswa tersebut menjadi informasi kualitas dari mahasiswa Arsitektur. Gaguk juga mendapat testimoni pengalaman kedatangan UTHM tahun lalu. Informasinya, karya mahasiswa ITN banyak membantu memberi gambaran kepada mahasiswa UTHM, bahwa membuat karya arsitektur tidak sesulit yang dibayangkan.

“Dari informasi pendamping pada saat itu (kunjungan), dengan melihat karya-karya ini informasinya ternyata mahasiswa jauh lebih mudah memahami sebuah karya. Harapan kami ini bisa sebagai acuan untuk melihat kualitas karya mahasiswa mulia semester satu sampai akhir,” katanya.

Gaguk berharap adanya kerja sama ITN Malang dan UTHM nantinya bisa terealisasi pada berbagai bidang untuk peningkatan SDM baik dosen maupun mahasiswa. Kerja sama tersebut sekaligus juga bisa meningkatkan nilai akreditasi kampus dan prodi.

Dosen pendamping dari UTHM adalah Muhamad Adli Faezal Bin Rosnan, dan Muhamad Hanafi bin Rahmat. Menurut Adli, untuk kegiatan mobility outbound UTHM ke ITN Malang lebih kepada study visit untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam hal arsitektur. Baik sharing informasi dengan dosen dan mahasiswa di kampus yang dituju maupun belajar arsitektur di sebuah kawasan.

“Tahun kemarin kami sudah pernah ke ITN Malang. Tahun ini kami ke sini lagi, tapi mahasiswanya yang kami ajak berbeda. Kali ini mahasiswa UTHM yang ikut merupakan mahasiswa semester 3,” kata Adli.

Adli mengungkapkan apresiasinya bisa membawa mahasiswanya kembali mengunjungi ITN Malang untuk belajar. Di ITN Malang mereka bisa saling sharing baik teori maupun perkembangan arsitektur. “Saya mendapat informasi bahwa mahasiswa Arsitektur ITN Malang hebat-hebat. Kami ingin belajar di ITN, dan mereka juga sudah terlihat akrab satu sama lain,” imbuhnya.

Dikatakan Adli, selain mengunjungi ITN Malang dan beberapa kampus lainnya, di Malang mereka juga mengunjungi Kampung Heritage Kayutangan, dan Masjid Tiban, Kecamatan, Turen, Kabupaten, Malang. Masjid Tiban yang berada di area Pondok Pesantren Salafiah Bihaaru Bahri ‘Asali Fadlaailir Rahmah ini memang tersohor namanya hingga mancanegara. Selain megah, Masjid Tiban memiliki gaya arsitektur perpaduan dari arsitektur Timur Tengah, India, dan Tionghoa. Hal ini membuat Masjid Tiban memiliki tampilan yang unik.
